If you like Blu-ray movies, I think this one is the best. With it, you can watch movies from different regions. And it seems to have better picture quality than the US-only version, probably because it's more flexible in determining the right color configuration. Just make sure you have time to set it up fully the first time or you'll be running around trying to find a fix like me. However, it wasn't a big problem and now it works great. Also, don't lose the instructions on how to switch regions. That didn't really matter either, I just don't like pushing buttons without knowing what I'm doing. Great product and everyone agrees that Sony makes the best Blu-ray players. I am a very happy customer. If you like DVD/Blu-ray movies, don't waste your time and money buying the US only version. Otherwise you will surely find films from another region and cannot watch them. I love nature films and many of these are produced by the BBC and are only available in the UK which is NOT a US region. Get one. I highly recommend it. Get one. I highly recommend it. Get one.
