Visually and electrically they look beautiful. I installed my Samsung SSDs and the top bay ate my drive. After disassembling the block I found that the lever arm pushing the drive slides over the top of the drive. The actuator in question was 0.258 inches (about 6.5mm) thick. I put a few layers of fiberglass duct tape on the inside of the case to hold the lever down and attached a strap loop to the drive to allow it to be pulled out. when needed. The other block was finicky in aligning the drive to accommodate it on the connector. Compared with Kingwin KF-251-BK stand: Kingwin is structurally better: stronger and better lever design; it (KF-251) is open for ventilation Kingwin comes with short adapter cables, each drive has a power cable and a data cable Startech only uses a power cable Startech looks better installed - no big logo and activity lights are better. I didn't buy Kingwin because I had strange errors in my SATA chain. My KF-251s were old and I couldn't quickly tell that Kingwin had updated the product for 6G. Diagnostics were not performed, the server recovered.
