This efficient oil pourer has many advantages over competing pourers. I've tried at least six different designs including some of the more expensive spouts (including OXO) and the GEFU Autotatico bottle spout is better. It fits a wider range of bottles than competing spouts, many of which approximate the range between wine and spirits bottles in terms of neck bore diameter. The seal is excellent and the outer rim extends over the neck of the bottle, improving the seal and giving the bottling a professional look. In my opinion, the weight-activated automatic shutter works very well and reliably protects against the ingress of oxygen or fruit flies. This automatic drain works well for well-refined liquid oils, but be aware that the flow is moderately slow. This shouldn't be a problem for many cooks who want to control the amount of oil they use. Thicker oils are more problematic and leak even more slowly. I've compensated for this by adding a bit more extra air space in bottles with more viscous oils. Cons: The only negative is the lack of response from customer support. When asked about concerns about one of the two oil spouts not pouring the thicker olive oil as easily as the thinner corn oil, I received no response to my email. In conclusion, I can still highly recommend the GEFU automatic pourer for bottles and I will personally buy more for use with sesame oil, travel wine vinegar and sherry vinegar.
