It works exactly as the seller says. Make sure you can read the wiring harness for your vehicle. This was my first time modifying the wiring in my 2003 Mustang, but I was able to figure it out by doing a bit of YouTube research and reading the spark plug harness wiring for my car. All this to say that I would not buy this item to start my car unless my ignition had a steering column problem which would have cost much more to fix than this bypass. In the end I would recommend it if you really want to push the button to start the car or if you think you can bypass the ignition problem.
