I have tried 10 timers in the last 15 years and this is the best I could find. Since my first purchase 10 years ago I have had to order 2 more. The first was dropped and smashed too many times, the second was lost. Otherwise it's a workhorse. You can quickly program it for anything from seconds to minutes (lower models require you to press too many buttons to enter your time). It's critical when you're easily distracted by other chores around the house, or are called to the other end of the house and you miss a beep. It could be greatly improved if it beeps continuously until you turn it off, but I haven't found a timer with this feature yet.
