PROS: Easy to use, inexpensive, smokes a lot, starts very quickly. You do NOT have to worry about adjusting the air compressor as the machine will adjust itself. CONS: I didn't have a funnel as recommended in the product description and made a mess. A "gauge" or sight glass to see how much oil is in it will work BUT if you fill it up you are overfilling the machine because the sight glass is clean and so is your mineral oil. I would use a flashlight and SLOWLY pop my eye out of the porthole. I made a mess while dumping and wrestled with the fat car. If you use it for a long time, I think it will get too hot and stop smoking. I could see oil bubbles in the viewing window. I let it cool and blew out the chimney with an air hose. It had oil in it and it may not have worked properly. Also wipe down the port area where you applied the smoke as mineral oil will collect there. No really detailed instructions other than what it says on the box. There are videos online and that's all you need. Did I mention funnels? GET ONE.
