Review on πŸ”Œ Dorman 74410 Window Regulator Gear Plug - Pack of 3 (Black) - Enhanced SEO by Mario Madden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I needed.

passenger side window regulator in my 93 f150 started to stir up a bit. A few months later, it fell a few inches as it reached the top of the door. A few days later the window motor worked, but the window would not move without the help of one hand. These gear plugs were just what I needed to fix the problem. You don't have to remove the entire window regulator system, you can simply drill two holes in the door frame (behind the door panel) where the indentations are with a 1/2" drill bit to remove the motor/adjuster. (an electrical device to which cables lead). You should then be able to remove all three screws holding the motor/controller in place. .Make sure not to bend the cover. There will be a bunch of shredded plastics inside. Clean and make sure everything inside is clear and working. Reinstall it a good time to remove all the dirt in the door and re-lubricate all moving parts of the power window arms/gears with chassis grease. My window now works like new - nice and tight. another window, simply because an 18-year-old truck needs such solutions. Much luck!
