I really thought I was done with PS/2 peripherals, until I got dragged back in with retro/vintage computing. While a full-sized Unicomp keyboard is what I normally use for those PCs, I wanted to have an extra (preferably small) keyboard for my test bench. For that, I thought I'd try the Perixx PERIBOARD-409PW Wired PS/2 Mini Keyboard. The Perixx is somewhere between a 60% and an 87-key, with the layout looking like an early 2000's laptop keyboard (or maybe a cut-down Media Center keyboard). While Perixx makes some pretty decent peripherals, this one definitely trends more towards "e-waste" quality. The keyboard is marginally better than chicklet-style, but there's plenty of flex and the keys are spongy. It's usable, but you won't want to type for hours on it. For $20, it's not bad, but not awesome.
