Review on 🚴 Enhance Your Cycling Experience with SHIMANO BL-1055 Aero Hood Covers (Road) by Peter Parks

I had trouble finding brake caps that are compatible with my original Shimano 105 brake levers model BL-1051. This classic is old but good, but because it's old there isn't much information on compatible replacement pads. I decided to try these hubcaps after reading a comment online somewhere that BL-1055 hubcaps would work with BL-1051 levers. I'm happy to report that the BL-1055 hubcaps work quite well with the BL-1051 levers on my bike. I have uploaded two photos to the customer photo gallery for you to check out. While they don't fit perfectly (compared to the original lens hoods), they're pretty close. As you can see from the pictures the top of the arm doesn't fit perfectly but it's good enough. Also, the hoods are too "high" for the pointed arm top, so you may want to lower the top a bit. But these slight imperfections don't affect traction or handling. When driving, where you actually put your hands, the hoods fit snugly, they are stable and do not twist. In other words, they do what they do and work well. I hope this information is helpful to the few of us who are still using those quarter century old brakes.
