I have organized my stock and tools including cleaning and repairs as needed. Looking at my welding equipment I saw that there was a lot to improve including making some new wires. I have a Miller Bobcat 250 on a trailer so I can transport it to where I need to work; and the conclusions to this came from a former 20 year old welder. They were 75 feet long, No. 2, and fitted for farm/ranch work; but I decided to buy a new #1 25 foot hooklink and upgrade it with a better platform and tip. These new leads are now normal welding leads; I use the old 75" wires in case I need them for welding. Money well spent, especially compared to buying pre-made wires elsewhere. It has helped improve my messy brushstroke welding!
