Having previously measured out what to put in the boxes, these two boxes are perfect for storing, transporting and displaying fragile crystals. All I had to do was line up the box and put in the items I wanted. As for the boxes themselves, they were forged, not shards, with working hinges and a properly aligned latch. The hinges, while perfectly aligned and smooth, aren't the largest. I suspect I'll have to protect them again, but that won't be for a few months and I have the right tools to fix it. My husband would love to dye them as otherwise they are plain. I think I can color them to look like honey oak instead. Just take a look.
