Don't be fooled, it doesn't change color in the sun!
I was a bit disappointed when I received this. I thought I would buy color change yarn. Instead, I ended up with a supposedly warmer yarn. I don't know how it works because I know that even if I leave cheap yarn in the sun it gets hot. But I'm not a scientist either, I'm just a customer crazy enough to spend $8 on yarn.
