Great amp but bad speakers.

I bought this amp because it was one of the few systems that could plug in an SD card or USB stick with downloaded MP3 files and just play it. From that point of view, it's great. When you turn on the amp, it will turn on and start playing the MP3 from where it left off. This is actually a great feature as the remote that comes with the stereo is pretty poor. As mentioned, the plus and minus buttons are used for multiple functions, so you never know what you're setting up. When the amplifier is mounted out of sight, the buttons on the amplifier are generally not accessible. Overall the amp has plenty of power and would have had good sound quality were it not for the lousy speakers that came with the system. Matte black cases look fantastic. I was a little disappointed with the lack of bass, but found it understandable for a 3 inch speaker. Unfortunately, after less than 6 months of use, both speakers crackled loudly, mostly at half volume, and never sounded right again. I hooked up a few, I had much larger 6x9 speakers and they sounded great! When I looked for replacement speakers I couldn't find one that would fit the case, but all the 3 inch speakers I found were between 15 and 30 watts. . I found this amazing for a supposedly 600 watt system. I think for me it comes down to thinking the amp is worth the price I paid for the system based on how I was going to use it. If you're buying this, expect to buy new larger speakers if you really want them to sound good and keep working. Don't expect to be able to easily adjust the volume, change channels or switch from radio to BT or SD while driving.
