I bought two baskets to cook and strain multiple batches of ramen noodles (tama) at the same time but separately like they do in professional kitchens. The baskets prevent the noodles from turning into a large, tangled ball that takes time and patience to separate and can result in broken or warm noodles. While we probably don't eat pasta twice a month at most, I've found that it's used as a berry strainer more often! You can swing these little baskets over your sink and drain more water than a traditional colander without damaging delicate fruit like raspberries.
