Works very well. They are tight which means installation can be a little painful. but that also means they don't crash after installation. So 4 stars. Good quality and snug fit, but installation requires precision and patience. Tip: Don't try to wear them where there is traffic or where it may be unsafe. They need to be accurate enough to align and center them on the tire, and you'll probably need to flatten a piece of ground to line them up properly so they can close and the rubber tensioner can be installed. If you try to hurry, they won't align and the tensioner won't want to move. Second tip: keep the tensioner rubber rings in a warm car until you are ready to put them on. First align and install the cable chains, then take one of the tensioners from the warm cabin and install it, then make a second one. Leaving the spanners out in the cold will REALLY stiffen them, making them a serious PITA install. Third tip: USE GLOVES. The good ones. Those flimsy plastic liners they contain are a joke. Hands should be clean and dry, but they tear easily and fingers freeze. Wear warm gloves with a textured rubber finish on the palm and fingers. I have a Silverado 2500HD which usually handles great on snow and ice without chains in winter, but when pulling stuck cars out of a ditch I need a little more grip and these do the trick. A pair on the rear axle, the truck grabs and pulls the car without drama.
