Made in Germany. The ratchet doesn't have many teeth, so you'll have to twist it a bit to catch the next tooth. The "center" at the other end was not the center. It was just a retreat. I dropped the tool in my lathe and inserted a #2 center so I could use my taps with it. That works great. I would give five stars if the ratchet had more teeth.
