Review on Bilstein 25 196481 Monotube Shock Absorber by Dustin Ramsey

These did not disappoint us. They are solid with no stiffness

I read online that they are a derivative of the 5100 with an optional remote reservoir. I have a 2017 Sierra 2500 Denali Duramax. I wanted a remote reservoir because the Duramax is a boat anchor and chilling would be a factor. These did not disappoint us. They are firm without harshness. Installation is easy if you have a ratchet strap. If not, stop at HD. I only tightened it until I could get the bottom screw in. If you try hand-squeezing them, get ready for a workout. There are also chic Bilstein clamps to hold the reservoir. Frankly, they are very expensive for a yoke. Although it's beautiful. I am very happy with my purchase. The truck now drives better than my 1/2 ton comrades. All aluminum construction will not rust, unlike replacement ranchos less than 2 years old. If you ordered the Z71 package, Rancho RS5000 shocks. You are cruel. This makes you think you are driving another truck in a good way.
