This is a handy bag for my cockatiel cage. We simply put a blanket or sheet over the cage. But it never turned out right. This lid is perfect for my cage, with little wiggle room. I am so impressed that it has 2 zippers on two seams. You can close top-down or bottom-up. I use an external feed chute. This leaves room for it to easily fit over or around! It's light and not too dark. "Izzy" immediately adjusted to that. I sleep late and don't open it very early. It still has a lot of light in the morning.
