Review on Crown Sporting Goods Ice Hockey Pucks Review: 6-Ounce Durable and Reliable Choice by Ronnie Toups

My nephew was a hockey player and died at the age of 29 (cancer). I placed one of these hockey pucks (ordered new and never used) on my oak bookshelf and placed its tiny urn on top (6 months ago). When I reduced it to dust I couldn't believe the color change in the wood it caused. It sits on a beautiful lacquered oak shelf that is not exposed to direct sunlight, has never been damp or had moisture problems and is kept clean. We've tried everything possible, the stain won't come out. DO NOT MOUNT ANY OF THESE WASHERS ON A WOOD TO EXHIBIT! I am absolutely sick. Obviously I didn't use it the way the manufacturer intended. Says it's made of vulcanized rubber - I can't find anything online about removing stains caused by vulcanized rubber. .
