Review on 🍲 Presto 01781 23-Quart Pressure Canner Cooker: Optimize Your Search by Jason Ortiz

I chose this one and am glad I did

Although I have stored the water bath many times, this was the first time I have used an autoclave. After doing a lot of research on the cans available at Revain I settled on this particular one and I'm glad I did. All the horror stories (cans exploding, food everywhere, injuries, etc.) have kept me from trying pressurized cans in the past. However, since my husband and I grow a very large garden each year and it seemed like it was time to start long term canning instead of just freezing, I decided to give pressure canning a try. I am very happy that I chose this model. The instructions in the brochure were very helpful and clear. I had no problems with the tin can and would highly recommend it for beginners like me. I canned 12 gallons of green beans the first day of use and they came out perfect. The tin can itself isn't overly heavy and was easy for me to set up and use. Cleaning was minimal. I have used this autoclave on a glass bench with no problems. The disc on the bottom was completely flat and didn't warp (according to some other reviews). You need to make sure you pick the pan up straight and don't shift it (as you should with any cookware on a glass-topped stovetop). All in all a great purchase. I'm looking forward to canning more beans and potatoes this weekend.
