Fraud Guaranteed!

My first one had the bottom completely blown out after canning and when I tried to get a replacement the person scoffed at what I said and refused to help me get a new one to get.

Wow, this tin can is awesome! I took my time

Wow, this tin can is awesome! I took my time, read the manual, watched user videos on youtube and made my own recording and it was a home run. I found several recipes that I wanted to try (spaghetti sauce, black beans, and caramelized onions) and each of them worked perfectly. In the first week of owning this Presto I downed 20 pints! I follow recipes exactly and it helped me to know there was no guesswork involved. I also prefer that pressure canning is mostly inactive work, while water bath…

THE BANK IS NOT SEALED! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

Well, I've been canning for over a decade, using different brands and models or pressure cookers, from Fagor to Mirro to Presto. familiar with the controls and features of this model. The seal and vent/latch didn't work on the first try. I have disassembled and reassembled it several times. I troubleshoot with Presto procedures. The meter was incomplete (a small gasket was missing). It's obviously too late for a refund so I'm just stuck with an overpriced aluminum pan! Build up pressure. This…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • It's driving me insane

I did not use this stove immediately because of its size. When it came time to use it, I followed the instructions in the email. During the boil, the pressure gauge read the expected 15 psi. Steam came as expected and the kettlebell showed the typical swinging motion as described in the instructions. When I finished cooking (I used the pressure cooker to sterilize the 6 liter jars of cereal) I turned off the heat and let the pressure cooker cool on its own. A few hours later I returned to…

I chose this one and am glad I did

Although I have stored the water bath many times, this was the first time I have used an autoclave. After doing a lot of research on the cans available at Revain I settled on this particular one and I'm glad I did. All the horror stories (cans exploding, food everywhere, injuries, etc.) have kept me from trying pressurized cans in the past. However, since my husband and I grow a very large garden each year and it seemed like it was time to start long term canning instead of just freezing, I…

Comparison with All American Canner.

All I can say is that it does exactly what you expect it to do. Works, seals normally, holds pressure normally. It works great as a water bath tin can. In fact, he does what he has to do. I've already filled about 300 cans and everything is fine. (from applesauce to grape juice, green beans to venison) My sister bought an All American Canner and we canned a lot together so we could compare them. This is where we noticed the difference: All American is a heavier pot. She can make applesauce in…

I love my tin can, but. Updated

Does the job perfectly. He's more than I expected. I read that the smaller one is not suitable for bathing in hot water. This applies to quarts, but not to pints. I think to save space in my closet I would prefer a smaller one. Also, I feel that the smaller pressure can reach faster, which saves a little time. I don't usually do large batches. I have canned fruit, pie filling, broth, chicken, soups, stews, hamburgers, stews and veggies. We currently live at high altitude and I can only weigh 15

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • No paint required

Very Satisfied: Pressure Cookers

This can holds: 24 regular half pints 16 wide half pints 20 standard pint cans (brand name) 16 wide mouth cans 18 standard pint cans (universal) 7 liters regular or wide neck 4 half gallon jars Dimensions: 15 inches high x 12 inches wide It fits my stove and clears the hood over it. It doesn't fit in my cupboards, even with the lid open. It takes up less space on the stovetop than my BWB can, so I have more room for other things. No additional shelf required for stacking. banks. Just make sure…
