Comparison with All American Canner.

All I can say is that it does exactly what you expect it to do. Works, seals normally, holds pressure normally. It works great as a water bath tin can. In fact, he does what he has to do. I've already filled about 300 cans and everything is fine. (from applesauce to grape juice, green beans to venison) My sister bought an All American Canner and we canned a lot together so we could compare them. This is where we noticed the difference: All American is a heavier pot. She can make applesauce in her without burning the bottom (mine burned the bottom), but I can use Presto in my glass-topped oven, which she can't do with her All American because it's so heavy. All American has a domed lid, meaning it can hold one more can than I can. Since the middle is higher, we kind of had a case where her can could match combinations of stacked cans and my presto couldn't. All American is a weighted indicator can and this Presto is a dial indicator can. That means, in my estimation, that the All American needs less child care than the Presto. I had to constantly adjust the temperature underneath my Presto to make sure it wasn't too hot or too cold. She could put her weight on the autoclave and walk away knowing it would stay at 10 pounds without much effort. And finally, the All American has a handle at the top, which makes it much easier to transport. just as. Each time we canned side-by-side, the time to press her, the time to conserve her, and the time to reset her took equal amounts of time. I had to use Presto because of my glass lid. Offer. I prefer the All American parts but like I said this one works great.
