This whole system was a waste of money and a bunch of junk. We bought two batteries and a solar panel and they all died within 2 months of use - right before the return window. We only used the gate once a day and were in a very sunny spot with direct sunlight all day. At least Home Depot accepted the return of the gate openers. When asked why he died and had no charge, Mighty Mules' response was "Keep trying different batteries, maybe one of them will work." This is not a solution. This is a junk product from a pharmaceutical company. Very disappointed with their customer service and quality. Save money and find another gate opening solution.
