As other reviewers said, this is a beautiful pattern, more intricate than most other kits. And at a very reasonable price. I bought this because I was getting back into sewing and I loved doing it and also looking at the finished product. not enough yarn to actually complete the pattern! My first frustration was with thread. The instructions say to unwind the thread so it looks "fluffier" in the stitches. This is inconvenient, since the strands are very thin and easily tangled. My compromise was to carefully unwind the thread in one direction. It didn't always help, but it did help loosen the threads. The color embossing was confusing. The strength of this pattern is the subtle color gradations. But that's also a weakness. You need a very strong light to see the differences and I made some mistakes. While they provide a yarn guide (which is nice), they do nothing to help you match color numbers to what's on the canvas. You could just exaggerate the color differences on the canvas and show how the color of the stamp matches the color of the yarn. It won't take much effort. The number one biggest complaint was that I ran out of several thread colors before completing the pattern. It seemed unforgivable to me. And I did a good job with the economical yarn consumption. It's expired anyway. I ended up buying a second set so I had enough yarn to properly complete the pattern. I can't help but wonder if a lot of the 5 star reviews are from people who haven't started the project yet or haven't gotten very far in it. .
