I have installed three of these in the basement and garage where the position of the switch is in the dark or difficult to see. All of them control fluorescent or LED lights without flickering or strange behavior. The neon light illuminates the toggle switch nicely in the dark, that's the whole point. The toggle switch itself is made of clear plastic and is slightly smaller than a medium-sized wall switch, but feels sturdy. Installation was trivially easy (it's a switch). If they are reliable, I will be happy.
