Review on Amana Tool 54295 Colonial 2 Flute by Jerry Eintertainment

The problem with this bit is that the radius of the thin section is 3/8 inch which is smaller than the shank radius. The workpiece must have a top and bottom "edge" that aligns with the entry and exit guides. Multiple passes become impossible. A single pass in oversized material will result in the workpiece not registering on the output rail, causing vibrations that produce poor results. Apparently nobody at Amana has tested this bit. Do not buy. The manual is generic and contains no info on this bit eg max RPM. Called support but got redirected to voicemail by someone who said he was on holiday and he never called back. The Amanatools forum requires registration which does not work outside of the US.
