Revain must delist this product and stop selling this product due to potential liability for personal injury and product safety hazards. The connection caps are made of plastic and come loose from the piston cylinder due to bad or loose threads. If the port cap is not properly connected to the plunger, the tailgate can slam (approximately 100 pounds) and fall unexpectedly on your head or shoulders, or potentially crush your hand if caught between the falling tailgate and the body side. There's a reason the Volvo OEM part was made with a metal connector cap to avoid these types of potential injuries. Yes, it's more expensive, but what good is a possible hand fragmentation or neck/headache? This product is too cheap and dangerous for safety. I hope Revain will confirm this finding and remove it for future sale as a consumer service. There are better and safer options.
