I picked up this set because it had an incredible range of smaller hooks that normally are not provided in a traditional crochet kit. This set has so many sizes in the small range, that would be helpful when working on crocheting thread/embroidery floss to make jewelry. I did play with the 4.5mm with the yarn provided. It had a bit of drag and didn’t glide as smooth as the hooks I normally use. However was not bad and if a crocheted was new, this might be helpful so that stitches wouldn’t accidentally slip off.The yarn provided has a very vibrant color. There were no labels on the yarn but appear to be a DK weight yarn versus a normal worsted weight. I will assume it’s acrylic as well. The yarn does seem to split easily.The canvas bag is a nice size as well and holds all the contents of the kit easily with room to bring along additional projects. The metal darning needles included are very nice and a generous amount are given. The other accessories (stitch markers, tape measure) were great.Overall a good entry level complete set to get started crocheting.
