Replaced with grand am the box didn't work, didn't recognize the sensor chip, the connection scanner got B2960 and after looking at the data parameters said the data is invalid. I ordered another one from another company installed and retrained and it worked straight away, looked at the scan tool and said 'Valid'. Maybe you overcome obstacles and think just because it's new it must mean something else is wrong. Yes you can cut the wires and add a resistor, but why when changing the lock cylinder is a 5 minute process and most people use a key fob to lock and unlock the door so no extra keys are needed? This new part does not work
