I bought this kit to monitor my server's power consumption. I received the package today. Setting up between quick pairing mode and compatibility mode was a bit confusing. Lesson learned: Make sure your smartphone is pre-connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. Otherwise, quick pairing will not work. Once set up, all you have to do is give the device and your rooms a name. Right at the beginning I have two points of criticism: 1. The large on/off switch in the app switches the device off without being asked. A note "are you sure" would be very helpful.2. Wi-Fi network requirements: 2.4 GHz. Of course I don't need speed, but modern 5 GHz routers provide better range. Otherwise I like the device so far. I can monitor real-time power consumption, which is what I wanted.
