worked intermittently once

Internet connection with ethernet cable attached to this adapter when plugged into a new USB-C port on an HP laptop. Restarting the computer fixes the problem for about 10 minutes and the internet is gone again. The wireless mouse was patchy even when using this adapter. returned seems solid construction but no ethernet activity indicators
