Newer computers often don't have USB 3 ports, or only have one. With this product, I can connect it to my computer's USB-C port and have 3 standard USB 3 ports. The device sits right next to my computer, making it easier to use its USB ports rather than a USB port on the side of my new, very thin computer.

After returning a similar device I like this one because it works as intended. However I left the ethernet plugged in overnight and the computer was using 30% of the battery and this is a Macbook M1 which is very efficient. The tiny display stays on and could be consuming power, or maybe it's just the Ethernet signal consuming power. I just plug it in when I need a wired connection.

Internet connection with ethernet cable attached to this adapter when plugged into a new USB-C port on an HP laptop. Restarting the computer fixes the problem for about 10 minutes and the internet is gone again. The wireless mouse was patchy even when using this adapter. returned seems solid construction but no ethernet activity indicators

With Google requiring USB-C as part of the Chromebook standard, this is a lifesaver. Normally CB doesn't have an Ethernet port, but we need one. With three additional USB ports, this dongle makes life a lot easier. Works great - I will buy again, no question.

Very slow. Lenovo IDEAPAD USB ports and WiFi speeds are identical. Good to have in case the Wi-Fi card fails. Thought it would be faster - a bit disappointed. I will only use it as a last resort.

I needed a network dongle so my new Lenovo laptop could connect to a wired network. This little dongle works great and also gives me 3 extra USB ports. Its price was amazing too.
