It works but has a small light that stays on.

After returning a similar device I like this one because it works as intended. However I left the ethernet plugged in overnight and the computer was using 30% of the battery and this is a Macbook M1 which is very efficient. The tiny display stays on and could be consuming power, or maybe it's just the Ethernet signal consuming power. I just plug it in when I need a wired connection.
