This processor was chosen in the assembly of the Mini-ITX system for games. My previous PC was with Ryzen 3600 and ATX board on B450 was sold for certain reasons. A prerequisite when choosing a motherboard for a new PC was the presence of two M.2 slots, from the previous assembly I had two M.2 SSDs, well, I wanted to reduce the number of wires in the case, since Mini-ITX. I chose the cheapest Mini-ITX on the Z490 - ASRock Z490M-ITX/ac. As a result, at the same cost of processors, the assembly of 10400 + Z490M-ITX / ac turned out to be cheaper by 4 thousand than if I assembled a B550 board on Ryzen 3600 + Mini-ITX with two M.2 on board (yes, yes, I'm shocked myself). I could, of course, take the ASUS B450-I GAMING, it has two M.2s, but I didn’t want to take the old chipset, and it cuts the PCI-E lines for the video card when installing two M.2s. At the same time, it costs the same 14 thousand as the Z490M-ITX / ac, so at the same cost, the choice was in the direction of the Z490M-ITX / ac. In my case, the price was the main factor when choosing a platform, an additional pleasant bonus was the presence of a built-in 10400, this freed me from buying a video card "gags" while waiting for new video cards (the video card from the previous assembly was handed over under a money-back guarantee). I am not an adherent of either the "blue" or "red" side, the price / performance ratio is important to me, and I want to say that the Ryzen 3600 is an excellent processor, before that I had 1600X, after it 3600 is just space! Many thanks to AMD for making such a big breakthrough in the development of their processors, otherwise we would not have seen Intel processors at such a price) Well, I'll write a little about my impressions after switching from 3600 to 10400. Compared to 3600, temperatures do not jump, when turned on and rebooted, the fans do not spin up and do not make noise, the temperature of the processor in the load is about 10 degrees lower, 10400 quietly cools the dropsy DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX L120 V2 in almost complete silence, the PC turns on 2 times faster (15 sec instead of 30 on AMD). That's basically it.
