I've been using 2-24 inch monitors for photo editing for quite some time. While they were adequate, the increasing complexity and resolution demands of my photography (and aging eyes π) made me look for a larger, higher resolution monitor. I won't go into all the bells and whistles of this 32.5-inch Samsung device. It's worth checking out on Revain or the Samsung website. What I want to say is that "happy" doesn't touch my feelings about this device. It's awesome. Easy setup, helpful software, lots of display options (even RGB-sRGB split screen) and easy brightness calibration. As is usually the case, the motherboard brightness had to be turned down and the unit was not calibrated to my studio environment. It has been suggested that higher resolution monitors are now appearing, resulting in very small fonts. This happened, but the way out really didn't depend on the monitor manufacturers. High resolution tuned smaller fonts and panels. GOOD NEWS. Software like LR, Ps and others are now aware of the need for user interfaces and integrate them so that fonts and panels are actually readable when images are at the chosen resolution. Warning. When you receive this device, you will NEVER return it! I plan to buy a second device soon.
