As soon as I opened the box I realized that this glue gun was formerly owned. The plastic bag containing the glue gun was dented as if it had been dragged from place to place for months. There was no glue residue or anything like that in the glue gun, but the trigger was greasy and had fingerprints on it. I didn't even realize there was a office knife in the set. Mine was open and floating in a box. I understand that people give things back. But if you want to give it to someone else, there has to be a quality check. The glue gun works. The glue held if given the correct drying time and a clamp was used to hold it in place. I had never owned a glue gun before and was a little intimidated, but the glue wasn't hot enough to be awful. I'm actually not a fan of utility knives. Breaking off the tip of a metal knife to sharpen it sounds dangerous. Instead of knives and other accessories, I prefer to use more glue sticks.
