I have tried using acrylic paint on these coasters and found that some colors or brands of paint do not work with them. I was able to make the black, red, and pink colors look opaque, but I had trouble doing the same with the brown color. It was only brushed and the brushstrokes were obvious. I filled the top with epoxy and it rooted well. The stands are strong and thick. I only gave them 3 stars because of acrylic paint adhesion issues.
