Review on 🔧 SuperSprings SSR-114-47 SumoSprings Rear, Black, 1500 lbs, for Ford F-250 and F-350 by Travis Chavis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The hardest part was removing the old fenders.

I have a 2012 F250 FX4 6.7 Diesel with no rear anti-roll bar or overload springs and it has the factory ride height. I regularly tow a 12,000 pound trailer and this is the only time I've noticed that sumo springs are fitted. They behave like additional airbags, only with a constant ideal pressure. My unladen ride isn't much different than driving with a trailer, and my steering is more efficient as the heavy tongue no longer lifts my front end in the air. I honestly went this route to reduce the chances of mechanical failure that you might get from a leaking airbag or rusting Road Master active suspension. Once the sumo springs were in place I didn't have to adjust the loading and unloading, it's just foam. The hardest part of the install was removing the old fenders, jacking up the truck and the wedge blocks between the axle and fender. lowered the truck - this was the only way to keep the fender from turning with a nut to remove it.
