I don't write many reviews but this thing is great and encouraged me to add my experience. I have an apartment across from my business and thought maybe I could save money on my internet bill at home by connecting to a business network. There's a three story brick building between us and it's over 550 feet away. My apartment is on the first floor, as is the router in the office, so it seemed difficult. I first looked at very expensive high power outdoor routers and directional antennas on the side of the router. But in the end I decided to try something relatively cheap first and settled on a $25 wireless router that I installed at the office and then plugged that antenna into my laptop at home. I wasn't optimistic as without an antenna I couldn't even see the network in my apartment and I had to leave my apartment to find an open parking lot 150 feet closer to pick up a weak signal. After installing this antenna, it will flicker between full strength and 4 out of 5 bands, 72 Mbps. I am now writing from a connection. I think some of the few bad reviews are due to operator error. When I first installed it I didn't see any difference as my laptop's internal WiFi was also on and had priority. As soon as I turned off the internal map, the yagis took over and the networks started flooding my list, including the one I was looking for at the top. Another thing that people who give bad reviews might not realize is that this is a directional antenna. Since I knew where the target network was, a directional antenna was ideal. The $100 I spent on the antenna will pay for itself many times over compared to any other home internet connection.
