Yagi Computers & Accessories

I didn't expect that compared to my homemade antenna. This does improve reception, but reliability and throughput are so-so. The tripod design feels and works like a cheap toy. I've dropped this thing a few times, but tape holds it up well. The antenna appears to be of high quality, which cannot be said of the inner workings. All in all it's too expensive. It's probably better to make your own out of a shoe box like I did. I made a few modifications to this antenna to get the desired resultsโ€ฆ

Works best for me under Computers and Accessories

Update: After 2.5 years of use this still works great for me. I have switched workstations (different brands and windows 7, 8 and 10) they all work fine with this antenna. Original: I use this between my workstation and my home wifi router. That's probably an overstatement, but the layout of my house required two block walls and a small distance to cause signal dropouts and slow internet. It works flawlessly and was easy to set up. It requires special drivers, and I found the ones on theโ€ฆ

Good antenna - computers and accessories

Shipping was fast, packaging well protected. No problem with Windows 10, just plug in USB and get a second wireless network in no time. You need to download the Ralink utility to fully view all available wireless networks, as the standard Windows scan doesn't detect them all. I've been using this product for about a week and found the latency to be about 45-50ms lower than my current wireless connection. However, keep in mind that this is a directional antenna and you need to make sure you play

Throws and Kicks A

I don't write many reviews but this thing is great and encouraged me to add my experience. I have an apartment across from my business and thought maybe I could save money on my internet bill at home by connecting to a business network. There's a three story brick building between us and it's over 550 feet away. My apartment is on the first floor, as is the router in the office, so it seemed difficult. I first looked at very expensive high power outdoor routers and directional antennas on theโ€ฆ

BIG BANG FOR MONEY!

I used to have other powerful WiFi antennas and they were big and bulky. In fact, the strongest one I had was big enough to mount on a professional camera tripod. it took up a lot of space. This device I've bought is by far the best Wi/Fi antenna I've ever bought! Not only is it tiny, it even outperforms my huge pad. I'm visiting my mom in a northern state and she lives secluded by a lake with lots of land. The camper is at least 10 miles from my mom. At this point after using the Yagi I'mโ€ฆ

try here. It exceeds my expectations, picking up a faint Apple base station at 600ft with a slight hill between the trees. The speed is the same as the base station. Highly recommended. Update: After dealing with this for two days on my Mac Mtn Lion laptops and on my Windows 7 Pro laptop, the software stopped working and I decided to return it for this reason, moreover, it does not allow network signal exchange which the utilities have window offers. Instead I will try a more expensive one with
