Review on πŸ“ Ozeri ZK14-S Pronto: The Ultimate Black Digital Multifunction Kitchen and Food Scale, 8.25 by Katie Alvarado

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Consider carefully

I was torn on whether to give it 3 or 4 stars. I think given that I use it every day and got used to it, the scale deserves a 4 star rating. However, I have some issues with the scale, which I will explain below in order of importance to me: 1. I usually feel this scale is accurate, but sometimes the scale jumps back between two numbers that are around 0.03 oz differ. It happens with all types of food, I'm just not sure what the problem is - sometimes it just can't be solved. This annoys me a little as I like to be as specific as possible, but don't let it bother you.2. As many reviewers point out, the display is small relative to the scale platform and ill-designed, so yes, your view will be obstructed when using large platters. To be honest, I didn't think it would bother me, but I have to admit that having to constantly bend down to see the readings is quite annoying. Not sure if this is just my scale or not, but from day one the plastic coating covering the black portion of the scale seems to be blistering and badly worn on the power/tare button. It's more of a cosmetic issue, but it's still a little tiring. Despite these issues, I have to give the product 4 stars. It helped me a lot with picking up food, I haven't had to change batteries since I bought it a few months ago, it turns off automatically but after the appropriate amount of time (it never turned off for me). while I was cooking) it has several different units of measurement and the tare option works great. Overall I'm confident that for the money I spent I bought the best scale in this price range.
