So I've been taking about 1g of ALCAR a day and have been for over a year now. As a result, I have tried ALCAR from various sources and I can safely say that it is not as effective as 99% of other companies' products. It lacks the very strong sour smell of high-quality ALCAR and it takes about twice as much to achieve the same effect. Disclaimer: I may have received a bad batch but I don't think this is the case. From the form of the substance (texture, smell, taste, effect) it can be said that it is just an inferior product worth its price.
