I'm giving this 3 stars because it works, has an easy setup process and is accurate. However, I deducted two stars due to the connectivity range of their Bluetooth connection. When stored in something (e.g. freezer, fridge, etc.) the connection range becomes unbearable. Basically, you must be within 15 feet of the device to update its status. This defeats the whole purpose of alerting me in an emergency, even when I'm more than 15 feet away from devices in my own home, or more importantly, not even at home. Finally, check out some sensors (they're more expensive, but worth it) that have WiFi transmitters so you can get alerts and check their status from anywhere in the world.
