I got this in 2014 and it was a great base for multiple builds. When I bought this PSU I needed more power - I had a 3930K with 2 GTX 780ti cards and they were quite demanding in terms of reliable performance. With multiple hard drives and high-end RAM, my peak power consumption when overclocking reached close to 900W, and I didn't even bother to add voltage. My power requirements are much more modest these days - I run the 7700K with a single 2080ti and it hasn't stalled once. Kicks and it's a little noisy. If you're using that much power, your GPU and CPU fans will likely be running loud too, so it's not that big of a deal. Then again, I don't use that much power with a GPU these days. I haven't noticed a PSU fan turning on in years. The same applies here: If you need a lot of watts and can get it at a good price, you will not regret the purchase. Don't forget to register your power supply on the EVGA website to receive a 10-year warranty! I have dealt with EVGA customer service in the past and they have always been helpful and easy to work with.
