Review on Proto Pasta CDP11705 Composite Conductive 1 75 by John Murphy

Revainrating 2 out of 5

com/stylus/ I followed the manufacturer's recommendations and increased the print temperature (mostly processed as ABS) and it printed

I would give conductive PLA 4.5 stars if I could. It's a little pricey, but I only use it for small limited runs. It worked great for the responsive stylus I was typing: http://kfkdesigns.com/stylus/. I followed the manufacturer's recommendations and increased the print temperature (basically treating it like ABS) and it printed fine on my Simple Metal. I also used a heated platform just to prevent unwanted buckling. I noticed two downsides to the filament: (1) reduced layer adhesion (always at higher print temperatures) resulting in parts being a bit more brittle than standard PLA, (2) black residue is left in the hot end when switching to a different filament and new filament will fade out within about 30 minutes after printing, even after using cleaning filament. .

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • Was damaged
