Review on SIIG Serial ATA PCI SC SAT212 S4 by Alfredo Testerman

I bought this card to work with a Western Digital 1TB drive. Even though I was only using the new drive for storage, my computer refused to boot with the card and drive attached. Oddly enough, if the drive is plugged in AFTER the computer has booted up, the card and drive work fine. (The drive can be hot-swapped.) After checking the various PCI slots, flashing the motherboard and card BIOS, updating all the latest drivers, and a few other things, it still won't boot unless that The drive and the card are unplugged. SIIG tech support says you just need to buy another card and "try". How about my new $37 card that can't help but work? Buy another card for $37 and see if it works. Really helpful.
