This doorstop works well. It feels well made, the parts don't rattle or anything like that. The foot confidently falls to the ground and usually stays there (depending on how you set it up. Worked for me: if you set it too high over the door the foot doesn't stick to the ground very well, so before you do anything Drill, attach the base plate to the door, slide the leg out and make sure it is at the right angle that you know will remain stable once in place). I set it a bit too high as you can see in the video but it still works the way I want it to. If I were to do it again I would set it 1/4 inch lower. It's quite loud when it hits the platter after you step on it and it retracts (as you can hear in the video). I bought this exact model in two colors for two different doors and the video I posted was with a different color (satin nickel) but both doorstops work the same, to the manufacturer's credit.
