Linux users need to download/install the new Realtek drivers. Monitor mode works like a champ!

I'm using Parrot Security, a Linux distro similar to Kali Linux, and I need a Wi-Fi adapter that works in monitor mode and injects packets for penetration testing. This card is just what I need to get access to nearby 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels without being intrusive and not looking like some sketchy madman with a giant Wi-Fi card, connected to my laptop. This card doesn't support Linux plug and play, but all you have to do is install the new Realtek drivers and as you can see in my screenshots it works like a charm. I live in an apartment building with 18 units and the card has around 25 SSIDs. You can install new drivers for Debian Linux (kali/parrot) with this command or a similar one, depending on your distribution: apt-get install -y realtek -rtl88xxau-dkmsCard was plug and play for Windows 10. It comes with a Mac and Windows computer CD, plus a USB extension cable and an adapter to extend the cable (see photo), which would be ideal if you plan to mount the adapter somewhere higher or drive it in your military vehicle. The speeds were decent. Approximately 128m/s down / 12m/s up -- (see screenshot) Range isn't the best with the stock antenna, but it's better than expected for a tiny $16 card. The antenna is also detachable so I will try to put a long range antenna on it as well and that will probably help a bit. Find out why Alfa is a popular brand for penetration testers, hackers and network administrators. .
