Review on Nature's Way Alive! Ultra Shake Energizer, Vanilla Flavored, 1.2 Lbs - Soy Protein Isolate Supplement by Brad Cao

Firstly I use this as a supplement and will treat it as such. Not sure how they come up with flavors as I bought both vanilla and chocolate and can't even taste it. Vanilla is way better than chocolate. Chocolate is just a bitter brown version of vanilla with a less appealing texture (if that's even possible). I gave the chocolate 2 stars based on taste, lack of an "instant" mix and price. I give vanilla 4 stars because it tastes good, is nutritious and economical. Flavor: Well, the vanilla is sweet and not "unpleasant," and the sweetness is NOT from the artificial sweetener. I drink 1/2 cup at a time and finish it right away. I feel like it gives me the nourishment I need and it stops most cravings in the middle of the day when trying to lose weight. Odor: The smell is somewhat reminiscent of plasticine. I have to put the glass away once I've had a drink or the smell of Play Dough lingers all day and makes me feel like I've just had some clay. Texture: The cocktail is green and looks like seaweed. It says "Instantly mixed" and I've never watched this MIX for more than 10 minutes. I don't like the "frothy" texture the blender gives, so I spend 10 minutes breaking up any clumps. There is a sand/slime texture that I can handle but quickly swallow. Nutrition: The label speaks for itself. I had to go to their website to get all the information. There's so much in it I won't list (read the label) but I love that it contains FIBRE, Solae's low-calorie and non-GMO soy protein along with all the nutrients. Finale: If you're looking for a supplement to help with cravings, or if you're training hard and looking to fill gaps, this is a great product. The taste is strange but not unpleasant, the texture is a bit strange and it smells like plasticine. But you won't get a one-size-fits-all product without a few downsides.
