Avoid this scanner. When I first bought it, the product worked fine. I upgraded to OS 10.11 and there were some scanning issues. The software crashed a bit more often and I had to do some stupid things to get my computer to recognize the scanner (turn on the scanner, load the paper, and then, and only then, open the software). When I updated to OS 10.12, the program completely refused to work. Now Neat has moved to cloud software. I tried a trial subscription and was very disappointed. Scanning is incredibly slow, especially when analyzing scans. What used to take 1-2 minutes now takes 10 or more minutes. Scan quality is extremely poor with gray backgrounds on plain black and white pages. The image alignment also no longer worked. Technical support and customer service do not answer customer questions. This scanner goes to a number of donations and I have just purchased another company's product.
